Policies

Policies are reusable. You can apply one policy to many surfaces, then refine it as you learn what works for your store.

A good default policy uses recent shopper behavior (clicks and purchases) and protects the experience with basic constraints (like inventory).

Policies are built in steps: Discovery narrows which feed records are considered, Scoring orders them, and Filtering reserves or guarantees slots. See Discovery, Scoring, and Filtering for how each step works.
