Signals
Signals are numeric inputs ACO uses when it scores what should show first.
Signals can come from shopper behavior, from your catalog, and from synced customer data. You do not need to think about database columns — just decide what measurable attributes should influence ranking.
Two scopes in the console
- Feed Signals — values on catalog rows (inventory, margin, price, popularity).
- Profile Signals — values on synced shoppers (lifetime spend, engagement, segments).
Policies treat feed signals as attributes on each candidate row and profile signals as attributes on the current shopper. Scoring rules can combine both — for example, ranking higher-priced products for shoppers with high lifetime spend.
